	As an exhibitor for membership drive
	Organized a forum with Malaysian Best Students, attended by over 200 students, youngsters and book fair visitors.
	Performance by MBBY Youths Group: choral speaking, pantomime, rhymes and poems reading.

Organized presentation of 13 paperworks by 13 speakers

Attended by 64 participants

Anugerah Buku Bitara MBBY 2006 (MBBY Bitara Books Award 2006)

The award comprises 3 categories; “Best Author”, “Best Illustrator” and “Best Translation”.

Best Author	:	Heidi Munan - Stories from Sarawak
Best Ilustrator	:	Koh Wai & Young Illustration Team - The Malaysian Legend Series
Best Translation	:	No winner for this category.

*The award-winning books have also been sent for nomination of IBBY Honour List 2007.

	MBBY acted as the Booths & Exhibitors Manager
	MBBY members also participated in the Book Fair activities such as:
	Performance by MBBY Youths Group Forum: “Writing: a career or a hobby?” A Get-Together Session with MBBY Illustrators Storytelling Performance by MBBY Storytellers.

	Organized annual gathering for members in conjunction with the celebration of Eid ul-Fitr

Celebration of International Children's Book Day
	Co-organized by Selangor State Public Library
	MBBY’s contribution: special posters themed "Books For You and Me”
	These posters were distributed to all schools and public libraries in Malaysia
	MBBY also organized Children’s Books Illustrations Exhibition, which were the works of the local and MBBY illustrators.
	Other activities: Storytelling Performance by MBBY Storytellers, Presentation on Animation, Talk on The Writing of Children’s Books, Have Fun Drawing Children’s Books Cover, Poem Singing, Sale of Children’s Books, Poem Reading “Rindu Ibu” with the famous Malaysian litterateur; A. Samad Said (co-organized by Kavyan Litterateurs Group).

Participated in Bologna Children’s Books Fair 2007 as an exhibitor (under National Book Council of Malaysia)
